Why Recycled Metal Trolleys Are Crucial for the Future?

Maxime Perrin

Each year, thousands of metal trolleys end up abandoned in nature, posing a significant environmental problem. These trolleys, often forgotten or discarded, can cost between €100 and €200 each.

Their disappearance represents a substantial financial loss for stores, amounting to thousands of euros.

What can be done with an old metal trolley?

While some people use them for personal purposes, this practice does not provide a viable solution for owners of stores and supermarkets.

The real solution lies in recycling. Today, effective recycling initiatives allow these trolleys to be given a new life.

Old metal trolleys are recovered and often bought from stores, helping to offset part of their budget for trolley supplies.

These trolleys are refurbished to look like new through a process of heat treatment, sanding, smoothing, and epoxy painting. Once revised, they retain their original quality while being sold at a lower cost.

Opting for refurbished trolleys presents several benefits. This measure not only reduces the introduction of new materials into the planet but also represents a promising ecological project.

However, this project can only grow if stores actively commit to it.

By choosing recycled metal trolleys, stores can contribute to a more sustainable circular economy while making substantial savings.
